Boat Company propose to build a 450 berth
marina at Beaumaris on the Menai Strait.
The scheme is modelled on Pwllheli marina
and would not have any development other
than that purely marine-orientated, bringing
maximum benefits to local businesses. Economic
projections indicate that the marina could
create up to 150 jobs in the local area
across a wide range of businesses including
restaurants, B&Bs, shops and tourist
attractions in addition to those directly
by the marina and in boat servicing positions.
It is estimated that the marina would generate
spending in excess of £2 million per
annum in one of the most economically deprived
areas in Wales.
