BARON HILL GOLF
COURSE LTD. - CLWB GOLFF BARON HILL CYF.
Beaumaris, Anglesey, LL58 8YW
Phones: 01248 810231
Founded in 1895 as a private course by the
Williams-Bulkeley family of Baron Hill,
only friends and guests were
allowed to play until 1950 onwards when
it became a members club. The original clubhouse
was destroyed by fire on New Years Eve 1990
and the replacement was opened in 1997.
This is a nine hole course and has been
described as a challenging moorland course
with panoramic views of the Great Orme,
Menai straits and Snowdonia. Most interesting
are the 5th and 6th holes described as 'the
best par three on Anglesey' and 'a formidable
dogleg', respectively. There are no bunkers
on this course but ample gorse and streams
to make a visit worthwhile.
